Sleep Inn Miami Airport...Pre-Cruise stay

I have not stayed there, but have seen it mentioned a few times on this board. In general, MIA airport area hotels are okay if you are flying in late and just want a room for the night. La Quinta East is a budget option that is suggested much more often. Nicer hotels in a nicer area are found in the Blue Lagoon area near MIA. Have a great cruise!

Thanks for the input John. I will certainly go take a look at the blue lagoon area(y)

Several hotels there - we've stayed at the Homewood Suites, but there is a Hampton Inn around the corner, plus Hilton and others. Shopping and dining nearby in a local strip mall -- across the street from the Hampton Inn.

If you get in late and want a place to sleep, and nothing else, then around the airport is fine. Tons of options at different price levels.

If you want to do anything other than sleep stay closer to the port in Downtown Miami or Brickell.
