nt13 Posted June 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2017 Can anyone provide feedback as to how it was to get a taxi getting off the ship in Copenhagen? I know there were issues with taxi shortages at least one past sailing but others went well. I'm on board now and deciding if I need to book a ship transfer or not for a 12:30 flight for a family of 4. Thank you! Rare KeithJenner Posted June 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2017 If I needed to get to CPH for a 12.30 flight then I certainly wouldn't want to be relying on a taxi. My understanding of Copenhagen is that it isn't unusual for taxis to be a little scarce, and that is without taking into account the number of people onboard the Getaway. easyboy Posted June 22, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2017 When we disembarked May of last year at Oceankaj, there were plenty of taxi. There were signs in the building leading to an exit for parked taxis. Port personnel helped in calling the taxi and loading the lugages. Danish viking Posted June 22, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 22, 2017 Just a quick update on the taxi situation. Normally there is 2200 licensed taxis in Copenhagen but when Uber was introduced this number has falken to 1900. But when Uber was shuttle down by the government earlier this year it has left Copenhagen with only the 1900 Taxi's. But from next year a new taxi bill/law is introduced so it should be easier to get a taxi license, so hopefully its only this year that we see this problem. But the biggest problems seems to be on mornings on Monday to Fridays.
