On Board Credit Question

Just curious if a Visa Gift Card can be used for on board credit? Or with a cash credit what sort of deposit is required. Between the 3 of us we spend very little...one or 2 drinks a day total and a couple souvenirs.

I have a Visa/Debit card and last time I used it I was double charged and had a hassle trying to rectify it as it took the charges off immediately like a debit card and it held the charges like it would a credit card. It was a big pain because I needed the funds to travel back home....and the bank wasn't going to immediately release them.

Not sure, but if you call 800-722-5443, they can tell you and also process the charge for OBC.

It is best not to use a pre paid card on your on board account, use a credir card to back up your purchases and pay with the pre paid. Pre paid cards are not able to accept refunds.

Couldn't you just set up a "cash account" except don't fund it with any cash and then go pay the balance with that prepaid card periodically or at the end of the cruise?
