Suite perks in a non-Haven suite?

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

We usually cruise in the Haven, but we're looking at doing a non-Haven 2 bedroom suite on the Pearl next year. Has anyone does this? Can you verify which of the typical Haven benefits (other than lack of access to the Haven courtyard/restaurant) are not available? There is some ambiguity on the NCL site. Specifically wondering about concierge service, priority tender tickets, things like that. Thank you!!

The benefits you mention are the same whether you are in the Haven or not.

Really the only differences are Haven access and any things specific to particular suites (such as bottles of drinks offered in some rooms)

Thank you!! Looking on the NCL site, it doesn't list concierge service and a few other ones, but someone else had mentioned that the lack of access to the restaurant was the only difference, so I wanted to get clarification before booking. Thanks!!

That doesn't make sense. The only ships that have a Haven, but also suites which don't offer Haven access are the four Jewel Class ships. On these ships, there is no restaurant in the Haven, so people still get access to the restaurant that is used for suites (often Cagneys).

Since the Epic, the suite restaurant is in the Haven, but there are no suites which don't offer Haven access.

The Haven setup on the smaller ships is different than on the -away and Escape class. On the smaller ships, there is a Haven courtyard with a plunge pool and hot tubs that is restricted to the use of the larger Haven suites on that deck only.

If you are in a suite that is not on the Haven deck, you get all the normal Haven suite perks (Butler, Concierge, priority tendering / disembarkation, etc) including suites-only breakfast & lunch in Cagney's.

There are suites outside the Haven that also have access (e.g. Owners Suites).

On the Jewel class ships (and older ones without a Haven), people in Suites can have breakfast and lunch in their own dining room, which is one of the speciality restaurants, usually Cagneys.

As there is no Haven dining room, there is no special restaurant for suites for evening meals on these ships.

Ahhh thank you! I didn't realize that Jewel class ships had a Haven, but no dedicated restaurant. We've sailed suites in Dawn and Star, and Haven on Epic, but never sailed on Jewel class. Thank you again!!

Access to Haven Courtyard. Nice for some folks, and nothing to others.

One other perk - there is a Haven only reserved seating in the theatre. Sometimes the conciege has been know to allow other suite folks to sit there. To be honest, they are upper, side seats. Not the best in the house - but if full, a great deal.

We just got off POA in an aft suite. We had all the same benefits including Concierge, Butler, and Cagney's breakfast, priority tender/embarkation/debarkation.

POA does not have a Haven so all suites will receive the same benefits on POA except for a few things like the DOS and OS get.
