Discounted Arcade Credits

Can someone tell me how these credits are applied? Do they just apply to the on board account and offset the charges made in the arcade?

I was going to buy discount arcade credits ahead of time for my kids too, until I saw this photo linked below. Check out the sign hanging over the arcade "recharge station."

Don't prepay for the Arcade.

Wait until you see the place first.

I have seen on ships that many games are broken, out of order, out of calibration, unplayable. etc.

And they don't really care.

They have really dropped the ball in this area.

Ok, really only asking to figure out if this is a way to get discounted OBC. Have no kids and no interest stepping foot on the arcade.

 

Was trying to be subtle/sly so RCL doesn't catch on and change the rules....

Is this deal only on Adventure, or all ships?

Grateful for this thread and the photo shared - thanks PlanetX! We were going to pre-pay the card, but are opting to take the gamble and wait and see if there are other offers when on board and/or the condition of the games.
