First, cruises in general are (almost) always much more expensive that far in advance.

 

Not on popular ships. On RCCL Oasis class you're best to book at minimum 8 months out. There's no problem filling those ships. Same with the better CCL ships. Prices usually rise as embarkation day nears. Long gone are the last minute deals, unless it's a crappy boat to the Bahamas for 3 nights.

This is dependent on so many things. First, cruises in general are (almost) always much more expensive that far in advance. I never book mine more than a few months in advance. Also, I've never even paid close to that amount for an NCL balcony, including this upcoming cruise.

 

 

It's easy to book late when living in Florida. If airline tickets are needed it may not be possible to wait for a better price.
