I just received an email saying our documents are ready for Sept 3 cruise out of Galveston.I know I can do it now, but I was wondering if I should wait until sometime in August. I live in Houston and wonder about any tropical development that might interfere with the cruise. I do have the insurance with RCI. What are your thoughts?

The weather does not cancel a cruise. It will go on. Might be late, leave late, or divert around a storm, but it goes on. You check in is filling out all the things necessary for the cruise, so when you get to the counter, they will not have to do it making the check in longer. There is no benefit to waiting.
