bandt Posted July 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2017 Hi everyone Can anyone tell me which tonic water is served on board? I like a nice G & T and prefer Fever Tree or Fentimans. Many thanks B
Rare LHT28 Posted July 20, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2017 I think the last time onboard DH had Schweppes If you want those brands you could request them well ahead of time or bring your own
Mura Posted July 20, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2017 I think Lyn has it right. When we've wanted tonic, we just go to the bar and ask for whatever they have. We don't really care about the brand. Likewise with club soda. You will have tonic/'soda water in the room fridge as far as I recall. But if you want specific brands, ask in advance. If they can accommodate you, they will. (Sometimes they cannot, depending on where the ship is and what is available at the ports.) But if brands are really important, you should ask in advance. Perhaps WELL in advance. JMBobB Posted July 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 20, 2017 During the last four years on Riviera and Marina we've always been served Fever Tree in our G&Ts. Good stuff! JMBobB Sent from my XT1565 using Forums mobile app

JMBobB Posted July 21, 2017 #7 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Thanks for that JMBobB ! Now add Tanqueray 10 or Hendricks.... nirvana 😀 B Your lucky day B. Tanq, my normal choice is one of the well gins on O. I do enjoy Henricks as an occasional change for an extra couple of greenbacks on board. It's one of the times that I appreciate going 'limey. jamesnmphs Posted July 21, 2017 #8 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Thanks for that JMBobB ! Now add Tanqueray 10 or Hendricks.... nirvana :D B If I were drinking Hendricks, I would not dilute it with tonic. I enjoy Hendricks and lime at home. bandt Posted July 21, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Hmmm James In that case, I'd have just a slim slice of cucumber. This thread is great for Gin (and tonic) experts ;) B P.S. Do try "The Botanist" - a rare gin from the Island of Islay. On a recent trip to Ireland I discovered "Dingle" gin and "Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin" (oriental botanicals with gunpowder tea)... both excellent products. French law obliges me to say "consume in moderation" Thanks for your input. Glad to know that Fever Tree is available on board.

Rare JoePDX Posted July 23, 2017 #13 Share Posted July 23, 2017 When we were on Nautica in April/May of this year the regularly available brand was Royal Club. http://www.royalclub.nl This included tonic, club soda and ginger ale. Occasionally I saw Schwepes. Joe
