We headed back to the tender dock after the Raptor Center. The Best of Sitka was amazing. Jolleen, our guide, was very informative. She was a Tlingit, and gave us a deeper understanding of their culture.

We loved the black and white photos of the last two shots better than the colored ones.

Dinner time in the MDR! We met Jeff and Angie for Dinner. Remember that gift we bought for the Meet & Greet, well since we did not give it away there, we decided to give it to Jeff and Angie. We also brought a bottle of Champagne that we won with us to dinner.

We noticed it was getting late and we had yet started to sail out of Sitka. The Captain came over the PA and said they were having trouble winching up the Anchor. later he came on saying they were working on the problem and we would sail out of Sitka by 10 pm. We were supposed to be in Juneau by 7 am. Well that wasn't going to happen now.

Liar's club is a game show where all four people give you a definition for the word given. One is true and the other three are "lies." The audience has to figure out who is telling the truth.

Jim defining. He would end his by saying "Don't vote for me, because that's a lie."

i-bNrP8sS-L.jpg

George told the truth on the first word, Trion.

i-HmBDdTd-L.jpg

"Vanna" changed into a new get-up. "crapulence" is the word. Yes, the definition has to deal with crap.

i-nfKfkTw-L.jpg

George told the truth. Jim once again told us he lied and we shouldn't vote for him. a Quarter of the audience still voted for him!

Final word was "Tittup."

He was telling the truth. Jim once again said he lied, but He and Tuey basically split the audience vote on "Tittup"

After Liar's Club, CD Iain was doing a magic show.

They had a camera on it so everyone could see, but we had excellent seats!

The magic show was hilarious, and everyone had a fun time.

Between the Liar's Club and Iain's magic show, they got the anchor up and we finally got on our way.

We went back to the stateroom to get funds for the Casino. This guy was waiting for us!

We had mail when we arrived at our stateroom after the Casino. A letter from the Captain.

i-WntmL2G-L.jpg

The letter told us when to expect arrival into Juneau, the fact every stateroom was getting $100 shipboard credit, and the fact we would not sail Sawyer Glacier. After our great day at Hubbard, I felt Sawyer would have been a big let down (I have seen it twice before).

We had ate dinner early for us, so by now I was getting hungry. so we went back to deck 11 aft and the Sports Bar.

We ordered some food, and met another couple, Austin and Stephanie. They were married, and both school teachers in the LA area. We both talked about past NCL sailings we had taken, which ships we liked, Big vs Small, etc.

i-2fMbS9C-L.jpg

Susan got the artichoke dip and chips and I got the Chicken Sandwich.

We ended talking with Austin and Stephanie till close to 2 am. Then, We decided it was time to head to bed.

BTW, the wind was howling up on deck 11, so we had to be booking it.

This is the revised Daily. We had received one prior, but that one had us arriving in at 7am. After the anchor wench issue, they sent out a second edition.

Susan had a waffle with a Berry Compote, along with eggs and bacon. We brought one of our bottles of Champagne with us, and had Mimosas.

After breakfast, we went up and played Destination Trivia with the CruiseNext Staff. Out team of 4 won! (all of us knew a lot of about where NCL sailed!) Our group got some Del Sol hair bands, a Del Sol shirt, a Del Sol bag, and a bottle of white house wine! The ladies we played with weren't interested in the prizes, so we took home everything. More wine, hip hip hooray! Somehow I missed taking pictures. Tarun Shorey of the CruiseNext team ran the trivia.

Arriving into Juneau. Disney Wonder was at AJ dock. Yes, no AJ dock! (both other times cruising Alaska we were parked at AJ in Juneau)

We decided to eat lunch prior to going ashore. Our shore excursion was at 3pm, so we didn't want to get off, walk Juneau, then walk back and not have a chance to eat.

We decided to try the VIP lunch in La Cucina, for the first time!

We got on the bus and headed for the shore excursion. It took about 30 minutes to get to the Musher's Camp.

All 6 of us at the rest stop. The lady in the front and her son were from Chicago. The lady behind us, closer to the camera was a sign language interpreter for the lady next to her. The lady was part of the hearing impaired group on board our sailing.

Our musher took pictures of the dogs for us.
