nanourw Posted August 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2017 We are due to sail on the Solstice in October from Honolulu, schedule departure time is 2359. On Celebrity website it states 90 minutes prior for boarding, we requested a pick up from our hotel at 1800 (30 minutes transfer) but our TA said it's too late, must be on board by 1800! Doesd anyone know what is the latest time we can arrive to check in/board? Or if we arrive as early as possible 1200/1300 to check in, once all done, seacard obtained could we disembark again for the rest of the day? neverbeenhere Posted August 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2017 90 minutes prior to sailing sounds right, but if you show up at 90 minutes there likely will not be luggage service and you will need to carry your luggage aboard. Yes, you could check in early and exit the ship and explore Honolulu for the day.
Sandtrap328 Posted August 7, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 7, 2017 Definitely get to the ship around very early afternoon. You will have your Seapass and will be able to explore the area at your leisure.
jelayne Posted August 7, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 7, 2017 The manifest is turned in at 90 minutes before sailing- so if it was me I would be checked in and on the ship at least 2 hours before sail away.
YvonneM1967 Posted August 7, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 7, 2017 Come over and join in our roll call for this sailing - there is a lot of discussion about this very topic right now! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
easyboy Posted August 7, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 7, 2017 Check in early then debark to explore more of Honolulu. 90 minutes is time for latest check-in. Ask for all-aboard time before getting off.
Rare groryjm Posted August 7, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 7, 2017 We were on Connie last autumn out of Venice but with an overnight the first night - so sail away not until 4pm the next day. My sil was also on the same cruise but didn't plan on embarking until 5pm (23 hours prior to sailing). They were told that the embarks desks would be closed at 3pm (25 hours before sailing) and special permission would need to be sort in advance. It was stated by our ta that this was not guaranteed as staff at the check-in desks would leave at 3pm and special arrangements would need to be made to have some one available. awhcruiser Posted August 7, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 7, 2017 Maybe varies by port and ship? Our departure out of MIA is 3:30 and XPass has a check in time of no later than 2:30.
