Lottacruises Posted April 25, 2018 #178 Share Posted April 25, 2018 The pizzas can be quite chewy, but that's a good thing. It lasts longer!
MalleyCat Posted April 25, 2018 #179 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Yuck. Reminds us of old school Chef Boyardee pizza or cheap frozen pizza.
Towel Critter Posted April 25, 2018 #180 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Yuck. Reminds us of old school Chef Boyardee pizza or cheap frozen pizza.Actually, Carnival's pizza is very close to authentic Italian pizza. A thick crust, 1/2 quart of sauce, and 15 different toppings is an Americanized version of pizza and really isn't pizza when you get right down to it. And that's fine if that is what you prefer, but before turning up your nose at the Carnival pizza know that it is much closer to the real deal than Pizza Hut, etc... Geddycorn Posted April 26, 2018 #181 Share Posted April 26, 2018 I enjoyed the pizza...nightly...yumm...great midnightish snack. :) Same here! I loved the prosciutto and the margherita pizzas!
Towel Critter Posted April 26, 2018 #182 Share Posted April 26, 2018 My only complaint are the lines. The one or two guys making the pizza work their butts off, but still can't match demand a lot of nights.
Jim and Monika Posted April 26, 2018 #183 Share Posted April 26, 2018 Yes the lines can be tough, but you will always be getting a pizza hot and fresh from the oven. The real issue is, why isn't the oven in the front where they are working. On every Carnival cruise, my wife and I end our day with pizza and it's usually between 1 and 3 am. lasnev Posted April 26, 2018 #184 Share Posted April 26, 2018 They have different versions....the prosciutto and arugula is very good,we also like the mushroom. If you like authentic Italian pizza you won't be disappointed.

We like to end the day at Pizza Pirate too, though it's usually a little bit earlier, say midnight-ish.
