Rare Bimmer09 Posted August 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2017 We are booked on our first Az cruise in January 2019. The Journey is doing a 9 day to Cuba and we booked an aft Verandah on deck 7 back in June 2017 for a sum of $8398 before port charges and insurance. Carol , my accomplice in travel, got a notification from a cruise price watchdog (probably not an actual dog) alerting us to a price hike on this cruise... CategoryOld PriceNew PriceChangeInside$2399 pp$2899 pp21%Outside$2799 pp$3299 pp18%Balcony$3599 pp$4099 pp14%Suite$4999 pp$5499 pp10% The cabin next to us is now $1485 more than we paid. I am guessing that the cruise is selling well (supply and demand) so if anyone else is thinking of it now might be the time to book unless you think that there may be cancellations at Final Payment time (Sept 2018) and that AZ will scramble to fill any vacancies. We have to sail aft which is why we booked so far out. "You have to be daft if you don't sail aft" is our motto. Norris
Rare DandDM Posted August 22, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2017 I just got an email from an online TA advertising the 2019 Cuba sailings with a double category upgrade (Int to verandah) and double OBC. Booked a VX verandah for $2999 PP with $900 OBC. So maybe they are starting the price discounts early? (BTW - first Azamara booking, extremely excited)

However, if you click on the Deals link above, then scroll down to their newsletter deals, it is near the top. Cheers and happy hunting!
coldweathergirl Posted August 23, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 23, 2017 I just found a site promoting the double upgrade...very interesting. Just called the online travel agency about their double upgrade and it appears that it's only on certain cruises. The ones I was looking at didn't qualify :(
