We are a group of six traveling to Miami for three nights prior to our cruise next August. Looking for advise on booking a vacation rental versus hotel rooms. We have 2 teens and two young adults traveling with us. We would like to see the sights of Miami.

What kind of advice? Go on AirBNB and pick something you like near the areas you wish to be in.

Thank you for your response. We are looking for advice on vacation rental sites. Ones to use ones to avoid. We have not used Air bnb. Sorry I was not specific enough. I am new to this forum.

I think there are many reviews about hotels on various sites. Not so sure on Air B&B. To make sure your cruise vacation starts off well, maybe better to use a hotel.

Have you ever used AirBNB? It has reviews all the same...

As a vacation home owner, I always refer people to use HomeAway / VRBO. They are a family of companies with a global presence owned by Expedia, and their sites are user friendly and reputable.

I am not a fan of neither AirBnB, FlipKey, nor Vacationhomerentals.com (FlipKey and Vacationhomerentals.com are part of Trip Advisor). AirBnB is hit or miss in the Miami area; there can be a lot of scammers.

Be sure to find a home that has a number of 4 - 5* recent reviews.

My parents get tons of rentals for their vacation home on AirBNB, my sister in law, the same.

I agree about previous post about VRBO. I have used that site many times before and have had noting but excellent experiences. Be sure to look at cleaning fees. I do find it is nice to have a unit with laundry available, especially before your cruise. As far as seeing the site, don't forget to include the Everglades. Don't use a cheesy touristy company that promotes alligator wrestling. Pick something like
