fla gang Posted August 28, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2017 Do they ever offer the drink packages a little cheaper if you purchase them as you board the ship. It is listed at $420 pp for 7 days.

I have been told it goes on sale once in a while. Keep checking the website.
geomancer Posted August 28, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 28, 2017 They go on sale in the cruise planner at seemingly random times, and it's not fleet wide so you can't hop on when someone else says their ship has a sale going on. You have to either check daily, or check in with your roll call and hope someone chimes up if they see a sale.
ulcards99 Posted August 28, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 28, 2017 I've never seen it cheaper on the ship. It's always a good idea to purchase prior to getting on the ship in the cruise planner Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ILoveStThomas Posted August 28, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 28, 2017 There,s no way my husband or I could drink that many drinks in a week,be it liquor or soda or water or anything else.I,ll keep my money and buy as we go.:o
geomancer Posted August 28, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 28, 2017 I'd agree on the booze, that's an awful lot of drinks every single day to hit that $55/day line. But with pop (yeah, yeah, soda...) it's only 3/day to come out ahead. One per meal, or one outside of meals if you skip having one at breakfast. The only time that may be questionable is if you skip lunch on the ship in ports.
risaacson378 Posted August 29, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 29, 2017 Buy before sailing. it will cost you more on board.
George C Posted August 29, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 29, 2017 Seems price is different on some ships , mine says 20 percent off so price was 44 a day plus 18 percent so 467 a piece for our 9 day cruise on Navigator, normally will not be cheaper on board, but half way though cruise they normally have drink card for 75 plus 18 percent that is good for 10 drinks and can be shared ( happy to be diamond plus after next cruise they get 30 percent off on ship)
What is in a name Posted August 29, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 29, 2017 you have to drink 5 or more drinks per day (@$12 per drink) to break even on the normal price. ($55 per person per day)
Wolfie469 Posted August 29, 2017 #10 Share Posted August 29, 2017 On Celebrity I'd signed up for the premium non-alcoholic package. We were able to upgrade to alcohol for $15. Much cheaper than RCI, plus we got free wifi. RCI is expensive.
