Hotels in Tampa near port

Suggestions for hotels that are near the port in Tampa please.

There are a number of high end hotels right near the pier. I suggest that you check the Florida departures board or trip adviser. We always stay at the Marriott, but it is not inexpensive. In fact, anything near the pier is going to be on the high end of the price spectrum.

It has been a while b ut we had 3 or 4 nice stays at Mariott Waterside, It is walking distance from the cruise ship terminal. There is also a Windham we had to stay in once as Mariott was fuly booked. I really disliked the Windham, and was happy to check out. Again, that was some time ago. We fully enjoyed Tampa as a pre/post cruise city.
