alan9945 Posted September 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2017 We are sailing on the Constellation in October and are wondering if the Top Chef night menu is still be used in the MDR. On our last Celebrity cruise it was our least favourite experience.
DYKWIA Posted September 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2017 They'd dropped it on our last cruise last autumn - 13 nights ex UK Eclipse. We were very happy they had. Maitre D said feedback on Top Chef (which I don't think means much to the British) was poor.
flyingv4me Posted September 5, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 5, 2017 I think they kept it around for a bit because it increased reservations in the specialty restaurants. It certainly worked for my wife and me. Glad to hear it's gone.
Orator Posted September 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 5, 2017 Gone! Just off Equinox and no Top Chef events.
Grandmaanne7 Posted September 7, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 7, 2017 I'm also glad to hear that it's gone. I don't think that I enjoyed anything off the menu on Top Chef nights. I resorted to everyday favourites or simply went to the buffet. Sent from my HUAWEI KII-L05 using Tapatalk
Redtravel Posted September 7, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 7, 2017 Top Chef is gone. It was an attempt at attracting cruisers. It failed. Too many people including me hated that menu. While on paper, it sounded interesting. The actual food was terrible. I don't really think that Celebrity intended it as a ploy to get more people to eat in the specialty restaurants. On Top Chef night, the Buffet was busy.
