Rallytime1975 Posted September 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2017 Just curious on a cruise out of Miami, when the boat arrives at 8:00 from the prior saling and we leave at 4pm, when is the best time to arrive at the Pier?
lizardhowson Posted September 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2017 Whatever time you are able to select as your check-in time.
Rare lazydayz Posted September 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2017 Anytime before 10:30 is too soon. Let the returning cruisers get off the ship and in their cars before you show up. On out last cruise, we were getting off the ship shortly before nine and there were people outside waiting to get in the terminal.
firemanbobswife Posted September 9, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 9, 2017 Agree. You will need to arrive at your check in time or later unless you are Diamond, Platinum, Suite, FTTF, or take a Carnival transfer from the port. If you're trying to miss lines and have your cabin ready when you get on the ship if you don't have FTTF or aren't Diamond or Platinum, then after 1:30pm is good. Any self-respecting Carnival cruiser would do all they can to not miss the first feeding.
cb at sea Posted September 10, 2017 #10 Share Posted September 10, 2017 Carnival gives you a "check in slot"...so arrive when they tell you. On almost all other lines, arriving around 11am is about as early as you can start boarding.
yogibear Posted September 10, 2017 #11 Share Posted September 10, 2017 What time should be picked if you are in a Suite? Also, is there a special time for people to board who have mobility scooters?? Karen
firemanbobswife Posted September 10, 2017 #12 Share Posted September 10, 2017 What time should be picked if you are in a Suite? Also, is there a special time for people to board who have mobility scooters?? Karen Pick whichever time you expect to arrive. However with a Suite, you can arrive as early as the first check in slot. People needing assistance/scooters will board normally, no special time.
