leaveitallbehind Posted September 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2017 The option to not drink would be available on any cruise line so that would be a wash. I would suggest RCI based on my experience with them and think given your criteria and demographics it would be a good fit.
Rare Keith1010 Posted September 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 18, 2017 I would go with RCI over Carnival for this particular cruise since you said you are taking your dad on it. Keith

Jimnbigd Posted September 18, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2017 (edited) You might find the options limited with poor cabin choices. Many of us book at least 6 months out -- I often book over a year out. You might find some availability the first 2 weeks in December, but unlikely over Christmas or New Years (and prices are just about double then anyway). You also might find dining time choices are not to your liking -- probably only late dining is available now, but you can check -- I know often the early and anytime dining times fill up first. Are you looking for a 7-day, or one the 4 or 5 day? The 7-day Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas is very nice. It would not be too soon to think about this for December, 2018 instead or in addition. Maybe you can have other family join too. Edited September 18, 2017 by Jimnbigd
