Sel de Mer

Sel de Mer looks fabulous; however, everything is priced à la carte on the HAL web site and on another site there is a $49 per person surcharge. Please tell me it's not both. :confused:

On the Koningsdam is a separate restaurant -- thus they charge using "a la Carte".

But on the other ships they use the Pinnacle Grill for this special dinner -- a few choices like they had for Le Cirque which is now gone. Thus the set price of $49 per person.

Don't worry, not both. It is "a la carte" only on the Koningsdam where Sel de Mer has its own venue separate from the Pinnacle Grill and is a stand alone operation.

 

On all other ships where it is offered, it is only one night per cruise as a pop-up in the Pinnacle Grill with a much more limited menu, hence the $49 cover charge.

We have booked the Koningsdam, I forgot about Le Cirque now being changed to Sel de Mer. Thanks for the replies.

 

I wonder what they did with the red rimmed dishes with the monkeys. (Wish they would sell them in the gift shop).

Sel de Mer is wonderful. We ate there several times on our cruise in March. Remember if you are a 4 star Mariner, you get 50% off the prices.
