Does Maho beach still exist?

I recently had a cancelled cruise scheduled for this week, and have re-booked for the week of April 28th. I really wanted to visit Maho beach but after the hurricane it appeared to be completely washed away? Is it back or will it be back in the near future? I'd love to visit and contribute some $ to the local economy.

No. But the sand has always come and gone there naturally. I'm sure someday they'll haul more sand in but that is probably a LONG way off.

I have only seen pictures from right after the storm which was almost one month ago now. I would be really interested to see one from October. Keep in mind that this beach often recedes in the fall when storms pass through.

I've tried opening webcams from Maho and other St. Maarten sites and were still down as of yesterday. I'm scheduled for May and assume all will be back to normal by then.

Keep in mind .... Maho beach wasn't in the best of condition BEFORE the hurricane. :(
