mrsfuzzmo Posted December 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2005 WE leave on SUnday to Puerto Vallarta and were wondering if the whales are migrating through yet. I know the whale watching tours begin in Dec. and my Mom really wants to go on one, but we were wondering if any have been spotted?? Thanks. Ine Posted December 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2005 You might spot them from the ship, but the official season for whalewatchtours in P. Vallarta starts at Dec. 15.....

gottago2mexico Posted December 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 9, 2005 Whale watching season starts Dec. 15th - that's the earliest date you can legally go on a whale watching trip. However, if you go on any type of boat trip, especially to the Marietas Islands, it is quite likely that you'll see whales during your trip. Your boat just can't legally approach them as closely or for as long, and they can't call themselves a "whale watching" boat until Dec. 15. Cruise2End Posted December 9, 2005 #5 Share Posted December 9, 2005 We seen a couple from the back of the ship on our cruise that was from 11/21 to 12/1. However, they were at a distance.
