I am currently booked on the Carnival Dream in balcony cabin 7436, I received an email today offering an upgrade to a balcony on deck 11 for $10. I checked the available cabins and they have rooms above and below. Can anyone give me opinions on this deck? Should i take the upgrade? A little worried about the noise from the lido. We would like to be able to relax on the balcony with not a lot of noise.

That's a spa deck, so I would guess you get the spa perks -- guaranteed times for any treatments you wish to pay for and free use of the thalassotherapy (sp?) pool. Slightly upgraded bathroom products. For $10, it sounds like a steal.

Not all of the cabins on deck 11 are spa cabins. Spa balcony cabins on deck 11 are 8P cabins. The upgrade offer is likely for 8G cabins. The cabins start at the stairs and go to the deck outside. There are 28 8G cabins. There are 6 cabins for 2 people, 18 cabins for 3 people, and 4 cabins for 4 people. None of the rooms are connecting.

I don't know about the noise. I have never been higher than deck 7 on any ship. What is the cabin number that Carnival is offering?

7436 is a connecting room for that reason is why i would move BUT right now you are centrally located down 2-3 decks is entertainment up 2-3 decks you are at the food pools. deck 11 you will be traveling everywhere.

I thought of that being connecting rooms which I never take, but then I said its worse being that high up, in a warm hallway, probably nosier since people constantly going in and out there and may be under waterworks, think she is best to stay where she is, besides, the Empress deck is my most preferred deck out of them all.

11273 and 11276 are really close to the outside. The bandstand is on deck 11. I don't know how far away the music can be heard. You also might hear the movies playing at night. I remember the bass was really loud when Doctor Strange was shown. I think 11247 and 11248 would be better.

You would be 5 decks away from the shops, casino, clubs, and third level of the main lounge. You would be 6 decks away from the photo gallery, upper level of the dining rooms, and the second level of the main lounge. You would be 7 decks away from guest services, the lower level of the dining rooms, and the first level of the main lounge. You would be 10 decks away from the deck that you use during port calls.

7436 isn't above the hot tubs, so noise shouldn't be as bad. You could still be seen from deck 5.

I would prefer a cove balcony(deck 2). No one would be able to look up or down at me when I'm out on the balcony. I might consider the upgrade offer if it was on an earlier ship class, despite being several decks away from the dining rooms and main lounge. I want to try it sometime, just not on any ship with a deck 5 lanai.

We stayed on Dream last May in room 10290 which, if you look on the map, it is first room closest to the lido excitement. We were afraid of noise and never had any at all. It was perfect in the fact that just a couple steps away was all the daytime action and also nighttime movies. Never stayed in the hall long enough to feel whether it was hot or not but how long do you actually stay in hall?

Booked for June 2018 in room 10291. Couldn't get 10290 or else we'd be back there again.

So with that being said, I would happily take the upgrade to 11 rather than 6th or 7th!!

Hmmm...slight dilemma I think...deck 7 balcony/OS (midship, port side lol) is perfect location in our book BUT NOT a connecting cabin (will not book connecting so that is a strike against your current cabin I think)....so depending on your new offer location and if NOT connecting you might be better off with new cabin.

Just stayed in 11237 .. perfect room. No noise, easy to get to Lido.. main elevators to every where else. Plus “ secret “ elevator to Serenity!

Loved this room

Have this room booked next month. Anything specific you can tell me about this location? Never tried a spa room before, originally had a spa interior booked then saw price drops and switched over to upgrade to a spa balcony. Really excited and any info. you can share would be appreciated! Thanks.
