Cruise in Far East

I guess answering your question would be like me asking you what the seas are like for a British Isles cruise in May or June. We had great seas for our SE Asia cruise at that time. The cruise after ours that went from HK to China had terrible seas. Our China/Japan cruise 5 years later had mild seas. We are always prepared for rough seas anywhere we cruise, even though probably 90% or more of our cruising days have been most enjoyable. No one can tell you when bad weather will hit a cruise, so just be prepared for anything.

Our sailing was fine last Christmas on the same route, but you never know with cruising. We had a good crossing to NZ from Australia, yet the cruise before our sailing had an awful time crossing the Tasman Sea. It’s the luck of the draw ;).

The seas are only rough on Tuesdays....

On a more serious note....Unless it's changed you should be OK on VISAs (US citizens) as on previous cruises, they are issued on board, but make sure you have blank pages in your passport and that your passports expire more than 6 months after your cruise ends.
