Royal Princess Casino Craps

I have a question about the casino on the Royal Princess. Does the casino have a Craps table?

I just came off of the Island Princess in Sept. and it did not have a table. Craps is my preferred game and really missed not being able to throw the dice.

I enjoy playing the Dark Side of the game

I have a cruise coming up in November and I'm trying to plan my sea days.

Any information would be helpful.

The Royal Princess has a dice table. Now you asked for some helpful information. My father once told me and I will tell you the same. Don’t stand up in a canoe. :):):)

Happy Trails & Good Luck !!!

I found Craps tables on the larger ships, but that doesn't mean there will be anyone around to run a game. Best clue is to see if there will be a free 'learn to play' morning or afternoon session, then I would expect it to be open that evening.

I have played on the Crown and Ruby (no table on the Island) and they did not have any double odds. But I still walked away with more than what I brought to the table. Only thing I found was that the same people seem to play when the table was open. I normally don't throw the dice being I am a "wrong" player but I had to change up my game when I had the dice.

I am a degenerate craps player. I have played craps on several Princess ships. The table is usually closed, they open only for a few hours at a time in the mid-evening.

The dealers tend to be very green, inexperienced. I am used to break-in houses in Vegas, but these dealers are even worse. Always keep your eyes on them, make sure your bets are all booked properly and that you are paid off correctly.

I am not a darksider, but I assume that this will be the same for your side: If you put down odds that exceed the 2x limit (I think it was 2x) -- whatever that works out to on the lay side -- the house will pick up your entire odds bet if the shooter sevens out, but if the shooter makes the point, they will pay only the 2x and will not pay anything on the excess. That is NOT right and I complained to the casino manager about it. If my money is at risk, they have to pay if the shooter makes the point-- even if they pay the excess as a place bet.

It takes a lot of patience to adjust to the Princess rules, but it is still craps!

I have a standard lesson I give to people who want to learn craps, but I fear that on the ship the dealers won't be as helpful. Vegas dealers are so good to novices that you can have fun at the craps table with a very simple approach (not win, have fun). I will state the lesson here in order to perhaps expose myself to ridicule. I tell folks, put a chip on pass. If the dealer adds money to yours at any time, scoop that extra money up. If they take your money off, replace it. If you hit your budget, tip the dealers and say good night. Listen to ideas from the dealers and other players at your discretion: don't ask the barber if you need a haircut. This advice works best at $5 tables, at the $2 table when they suggest odds, you're math will not work in some cases.

Also I generally play don't pass (and don't come if I'm really wreckless) but I switch if the shooter is next to me. And again this might not work on the ship because it sounds like there aren't enough players. If there are only four then there's only one shooter who isn't myself or adjacent to me, and I feel it is impolite to bet against someone standing right next to me.
