We have recently turned Platinum on NCL and see that we receive free meals as a perk. If we are not interested in using the free meals, can we give them to friends we are traveling with or do we just lose them? Thanks for any help you can offer!

No they are not transferable. Use them or lose them.

As stated above, you have to use them. They take your coupon and swipe your card, sometimes you also have to sign for the meal after.

 

So you can't give it away. But the guest can be anybody.

You could simply pop in for appetizers or dessert, if you like! (Not sure if they'd force the reservation issue later in the evening if you were upfront about only coming for a snack as opposed to full service)
