DJChick Posted October 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2017 We are disembarking a ship in Port Everglades and need to get to a ship in the Port of Miami on the same day. What would be our best option?? Are Uber drivers allowed to come to each cruise terminal in each of these ports for pick ups and drop offs?? Or is a transportation company a better option? If so, any recommendations??
CruiserBruce Posted October 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2017 There are dozens and dozens of threads here with info to help you. Yes, Uber can come into the port. If not Uber, your next best choice is a shuttle. Many recommended here. SAS, QLS, etc.

JohninDC Posted October 15, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 15, 2017 UberX should be about $35+ -- for the shuttles you would likely need to taxi from PE to FLL airport (about $15+tip) and then catch a shared shuttle for about $15 per person. If you have a big group a private shuttle/limo service might be a good option.
Rare Keith1010 Posted October 15, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 15, 2017 As mentioned Uber is available as is Lyft and worse case you could take a taxi. Keith
Corby114 Posted October 15, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 15, 2017 Contact Larry's Limos, excellent service, clean vehicles, knowledgeable drivers, and reasonable rates. I have used there service a few times and have always been extremely satisfied.
pbrady Posted October 15, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 15, 2017 We do this nearly every year. Celebrity Silhouette - Port Everglades to Celebrity Eclipse - Port of Miami If you are with the same cruise line, you should still be set up as a back-to-back even though it is different ships & a different port. We just take our booking document showing the switch (B2B) to the Eclipse to Guest Relations on the Silhouette & they set it all up. Celebrity has a free bus waiting for all the Celebrity passengers going from Port Everglades to Port of Miami. When we disembark from the Silhouette, we simply go to the bus & they take us right to the Eclipse. Check with your cruise line to see what they do & what you will need. Nebr.cruiser Posted October 15, 2017 #8 Share Posted October 15, 2017 We did the opposite last year. We were going to do Uber for the first time, but right outside the port there were companies filling up smaller buses; most passengers riding them were going to the airport, but they dropped those off in Ft. Lauderdale first and then took us on to the port. It was easy, and I think about $10pp.-- maybe $15. We have used SAS before as well as Larry's Limos, both of which were fine.
