LuckyStar Posted October 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2017 Every time I go in to look at something on my upcoming cruise, check in or shop for excursions, it shows I owe money even though I paid in full a few weeks ago. God forbid I lose my receipt. Today I made the dastardly sin of adding my husband's new received crown and anchor number. Am I the only one this is happening to? Ok, I have vented and do feel better. It happens quite a lot when you book directly through Royal. Unfortunately, you will have to call them to get is straightened out.
Clarea Posted October 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 21, 2017 No, you're not the only one. Just do a search using the term "website".
LuckyStar Posted October 21, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted October 21, 2017 Well, I guess it makes me feel better. I called them and they straightened it out. Note to self. Thanks all! Sent from my LG-H918 using Forums mobile app
Pstreet12 Posted October 21, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 21, 2017 The website is so bad that I shop online TA extensively before I even attempt to price a cruise on Royal. I know how bad it's going to be to even locate the cruise on their site. It should be the other way around: I should be able to happily go to their site, check out the wonderful opportunities to see the world, and then check TA to see if they are offering me anything good enough to take me away from directly booking with Royal--but that's not how it works, at least for me. I'm wondering if they actually prefer that people book with TA.
madcitymaven Posted October 21, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 21, 2017 Their sister company, Celebrity, has an even more poorly performing website. Makes me wonder how much business Royal and Celebrity have lost over time. A functional website just doesn’t seem to be a priority with them. geomancer Posted October 21, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 21, 2017 I'm wondering if they actually prefer that people book with TA. Probably, they don't have to provide customer service, the TA has to do that.

Rare APDMOM Posted October 22, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 22, 2017 Probably, they don't have to provide customer service, the TA has to do that. I agree that they encourage travel agents. They used to blatantly state that on the website. They even have a link dedicated to locating a travel agent... http://www.royalcaribbean.com/customersupport/travelagentLocate.do?icid=dc16ml_conten_lct_hm_awaren_410
