Rare Jamman54 Posted October 31, 2017 Author #127 Share Posted October 31, 2017 Hello Jeff!!I have been waiting on this review. I have always been able to read and view your pictures from your cruise reviews that you had done in the past while I'm sitting here at work. However, this time, the photos are not showing up as they had been. All I see is a black box with an X in it. I'm using the same work computer that I have been which is in my office at work. So what has changed that I can no longer see your pictures? Are you using a different way to post your pictures? Hey there! Sorry you are having problems viewing our pictures at work, but I think I know what your problem is. At the end of last year I changed my photo hosting site for a variety of reasons. So starting with my Carnival Pride Repo review my photos are now being hosted by smugmug and I bet that your company blocks that site. You will have to view them from home or bribe your IT guy. Sorry! :loudcry: Subscribing to this awesome review! We'll be cruising on the Magic This Christmas and loving your review and pics! Thanks so much! Glad to have you aboard! Christmas on the Magic sounds wonderful! :D

Rare Jamman54 Posted October 31, 2017 Author #129 Share Posted October 31, 2017 Here are some views of Cucina del Capitano. For lunch it is a free Pasta Bar and is open from 12:00 to 2:30 daily. It is open for dinner from 5:30 to 9:30 nightly, with a $15 per person upcharge. We are given # 20, (Patti’s birthdate), and told to sit where we pleased. As you can see from the pictures that the place is nearly deserted and it’s nearly 1:00. It’s a great place to have your embarkation lunch! To be continued….. Rare Jamman54 Posted October 31, 2017 Author #130 Share Posted October 31, 2017 Here is the lunch menu. You make your selections, hand it to the waitress, and about ten minutes later she brings your food back to you. Very easy! Here I am making my selections….. While we are waiting for our food, I’ll share the dinner menu and wine list with you. We will be eating dinner here our second week. To be continued……
Rare Jamman54 Posted October 31, 2017 Author #131 Share Posted October 31, 2017 Our food has arrived. We both had the Caesar salad and bread…… I had the bow tie pasta with meat sauce, sausage, shrimp, mushrooms, and peppers….. Patti had the linguini with Alfredo sauce and chicken. It was a very good lunch! After lunch, I made my way to the Red Frog Rum Bar for an informal roll call meeting where I would make some new CC friends. Patti would begin touring the ship and taking pictures. She started with the Sports Square on Decks 12 & 14 aft….. To be continued…..

It was also great to meet your friend Willie and his wife (Patti & I can't remember her name). I guess we killed a few brain cells at Nachi Cocum! :D We will see you in the spring one way or another and hopefully aboard another ship! Though we don't decorate our door, we saw plenty of doors that were decorated. Luke Saint Joe Posted November 1, 2017 #144 Share Posted November 1, 2017 Jeff, I don't know how to contact you. I see that you & Patti have not yet sailed on Vista. Dave & I are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary in 2019 and are hoping to set sail on Vista. Probably in June or July. Perhaps we can plan a trip together. negronw_1 Posted November 1, 2017 #145 Share Posted November 1, 2017 I am so glad for this review. We are going on the Magic on Nov 11 and cant wait. I drive on I-4 everyday and it is crazy. Lane changes every week. They say it is a 6 year project..... Sitting down and enjoying this so far. Really appreciate your reviews, thanks for all you do. Fully refreshed after our breakfast at Cracker Barrel, we hopped into the van to continue our drive south. In a few hours we were in Florida. I always use I-295 to bypass downtown Jacksonville, and soon we saw a familiar sign. Sorry about the buggy windshield! Here is the Dames Point Bridge which we will be sailing under while on the Elation in just under three weeks….. We saw the Carnival Fascination in Jaxport. She was there filling in for the Elation while she was still in dry dock. Patti was able to get one decent blurry picture looking back….. In less than two hours of uneventful driving we were approaching Orlando. OMG, the construction on I-4 was horrible! Zigs and zags was the theme, and to tell you the truth, driving in a video game was easier than this. It’s going to take them years to get this all fixed. If I was the least bit tired before we hit this mess, I was wide eyed now! Finally, we navigated through this and made our exit onto International Drive. We would be spending the first four nights at the Rosen Inn International at 7600 International Drive. Not 5 star by any means, but it is clean, comfortable, and cheap. At 59.99 a night it is well worth it. The best thing that I like about it is that it caters to a mostly British clientele. There is a clock on the wall by the front desk that shows London time. Gotta love those Brits!! Lol. We were given room # 2627 on the 6th floor. Here are some pictures of the room….. To be continued……
