Casino/Texa Hold'em questions

Hi All-

My husband does online poker but was thinking of doing Texas Hold'em tournament while onboard. So he wanted me to ask:

Generally how much is it to enter?

Is there generally a big blind and a small blind in the tournament? Or even at the tables?

How much is the jackpot?

they are played on electric tables, no dealer. You use your sign and sail card to buy chips. Yes, regular no hold um rules. The house rake is huge in the tournaments, 15% for regular games.

They typically have just one electronic table.

They don't generally play "tournaments", although I have played some on different ships and cruise lines.

The blinds are normally $1 & $2, no limit, people wanting to play just wait for a handful that are interested before starting. There is no cash, you just load your bank with your S & S card. Your bank balance would be the most you could bet on any given hand. Except for the fact that the people are sitting at the table it operates the same as online poker games. Players can come and go as they please.

On a 7 day cruise they have the Texas holdem tournament twice. It will be listed in the fun times. The buy in is $150, while I was on the Miracle four weeks ago, only a few players wanted in at that buy in and the tournament was not played.

There was one tournament on the conquest last month. It was on the first sea day and it was $150 to enter. They needed a minimum of five people to play and one hour before it started there was two people signed up. Not sure if they had the game or not.
