Tampa airport by 8am

Can anyone give any advice on getting to Tampa airport by 8am on day of disembarking. It says we arrive back at 7 am.

 

Is there a way to expedite getting off the ship?

I would not book a flight the required me to be at the airport within an hour of my “scheduled” arrival. Not sure what ship you are on but if it is Empress of the Seas, the ship will arrive around 7:00 and you may not be able to disembark before 7:30. Then you must clear immigaration. Airport is 15-30 minutes depending on traffic.

 

My recent experience with disembarking in Tampa was terrible. It was later in the morning, but it took us over an hour to get through immigration. YMMV

My advice is simple. Do not consider it. This is way too early.

I would say around 11:00 AM.

 

With that said what time of the year are you arriving? Certain times of the year fog can be an issue.

TPA is about a 15+ minute cab ride from the port - maybe longer if you return on a weekday. I agree with the above - don't book a flight leaving before about 11-11:30.

Nope won’t make 8:00 am flight out of Tampa. If customs is not fully staffed you will be delayed.

Just to clarify, you said you had to BE AT the airport by 8 a.m. What time was the flight?
