lcookie Posted December 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2017 Does anyone have any experience with Holland's policy on transporting drones?
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2017 According to the Holland America Website Drones are prohibited. https://www.hollandamerica.com/pageByName/Resp.action?requestPage=Prohibited_Items&WT.ac=PopTop_ProhibitedItems Keith
lcookie Posted December 2, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted December 2, 2017 Yes they are. I had read before that some lines would let you transport as long as you turned it over to them while in transit. A brief call today confirmed this is not the case on HAL.
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 3, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 3, 2017 The link I posted is very clear on the policy. I have to say some of the cruise lines are not as clear as Holland is and kudos for Holland for providing such as comprehensive list. ger_77 Posted December 3, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2017 On our last cruise, upon disembarking at FLL, there was a table in the luggage hall with a sign that read "Confiscated Items For Pick-Up" - something I'd never seen before. There were a couple of drones, an assortment of knives, and a few steam irons. I would think HAL is still not allowing drones from what was on the table . . . Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)
