Wendy&Grumpy Posted December 5, 2017 #76 Share Posted December 5, 2017 Was this to/from a US port, or international? Caribbean. Closed loop from Tampa.
FLcruisergrl Posted December 5, 2017 #77 Share Posted December 5, 2017 I know from experience NCL will NOT take anything but the original birth certificate. My sister in law brought a copy of her son's by accident, not realizing it was not the original and NCL would not let their 11 year old son on board. So, they ended up losing out on their cruise. I said the US Government. NCL rules may be different. It may vary Port to port. Sometimes it seems that it varies person to person. We sailed on RCCL with certified copies with no problem. I’ve heard of people sailing with regular photocopies. We have passports now because I was nervous without one.
NMLady Posted December 6, 2017 #78 Share Posted December 6, 2017 What's a fancy birth certificate? Probably the one given by the hospital. It is not an official one.
