DanvilleCruiser Posted December 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 24, 2017 i am sailing on the Magic on the Empress deck about 5 cabins from the Atrium. Should I be concerned about the noise? TIA.
grandmarnnurse Posted December 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2017 It usually is pretty noisy near any atrium, so I’m sure it may be the same on the Carnival Magic, especially if they have any live music entertainment there. You might want to reconsider that cabin choice. I’m even hesitant to be near elevators for the same reason of increased noise and activity. SadieN Posted December 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 24, 2017 The Atrium will be quiet once the music is finished. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
belkin Posted December 24, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 24, 2017 i am sailing on the Magic on the Empress deck about 5 cabins from the Atrium. Should I be concerned about the noise? TIA. We just had the 6th cabin down from the atrium on the Paradise and it was too noisy for us. We really liked the deck though and I talked to a couple that was down the hall 14 cabins and they said they could not hear anything from the atrium. Towel Critter Posted December 24, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 24, 2017 We've stayed near the atrium, on the higher decks, and never had an issue. I actually like this location, as you don't feel cut off from everything. You may hear music (faintly), but is that so bad? Actually, I don't remember ever hearing music with the door closed. Missileer Posted December 24, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 24, 2017 We cruise on Spirit class ships a lot and always try to get a cabin near the glass elevators and the atrium. Noise has never been a problem. Enjoy.
time4fun Posted December 24, 2017 #9 Share Posted December 24, 2017 We always select cabins close to elevators, and never experienced any noise.
WLHyatt Posted December 24, 2017 #10 Share Posted December 24, 2017 We've had rooms right by the doors from the Atrium and the only time we heard music or anything was on the Elation.

Rare Tapi Posted December 26, 2017 #12 Share Posted December 26, 2017 Only time we had a cabin near the atrium on Empress deck was on the Fascination. We could hear music as well as the lively conversations and laughter that normally go with any bar setting. Also, there was a lot of foot traffic outside our door frequently. Although it wasn’t awful, it was bothersome enough to make me not want to book a cabin that close to the atrium again. Now, the Magic and Fascination are different, so there may be no noise issues for you. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
