Staggered check-in times Crown Princess Port Everglades

We are departing on the 👑 Crown Princess on January 12, 2018. First check-in time starts at 12:30 pm and later according to deck number.

Is Princess strict about this check-in time process or are they flexible? If you are in a mini suite will they waive the check-in restriction?

This is my first cruise on Princess Cruises. Holland America does not have staggered boarding and all staterooms seem to be ready at 12 noon or earlier.

If you don't mind waiting, show up before noon--realizing that a lot of the folks who show up later than you may have preferred boarding and get on board before you do. We got to the pier at 11:15 and made it on board at 11:45 earlier this month on the Royal--but we had preferred boarding for being Elite. There were plenty of people sitting in chairs waiting when we got there who were still sitting in chairs as we boarded.
