San Francisco transportation

When we sailed from SFO, we used SuperShuttle. It was $17/pp for their shared van or $75 for a non-stop, non-shared van. We opted for the non-stop because we were a party of 6. Reserved it on-line in advance and there is a dispatcher waiting for you outside the terminal. Look online, there are some discounts, we used AAA. The rates above were the non-discounted ones.

We always fly out of Oakland - it's closer to the cruise port than SFO and less busy. You will have some traffic in downtown San Francisco, but you should have no trouble making a 1:15 flight.

Ah, not true. SFO is 5 miles closer than OAK, according to Google Maps. Travel time will of course depend on traffic. Yes, OAK is not as busy, but SFO will have a far greater selection of destinations.

But the OP has already selected OAK, so that works for them.

Thank You Cruiser Bruce,

Does my pickup time seem ok to you ????

Thx !

Yes, I believe you will be fine.

That you are flying out of OAK might have been a pretty important thing to put in your first post. Reserving for OAK would be a requirement, as there aren't many shuttles going there. The vast majority of people go from the Pier to SFO.

I made a reservation on Supershuttle. We have a 1:10 pm flight from Oakland Airport.

Earliest pickup I could get was 10:15 am.

Does that sound ok ??

(we will be disembarking on a Tuesday)

Thank you for any help !!

I also agree that a 10:15 will be fine.

Are you flying Southwest?

Either way be sure to have your boarding pass printed out and if on SW consider the early bird check in. For the small extra fee to me it is well worth not having to check in 24 hours or less before the flight.

Keith
