Amber cove excursion

Any suggestions for Amber Cove excursion? Nothing extreme- 4 kids (ages 6,9, 12, 14).

Not interested in any ATV or type of excursion like that- friend had a horrible accident 2 years ago while on a cruise and I can’t shake the fear.

Any of the beach or resort passes have enough activities for the kids? We loved Playa Del Maya in Cozumel last year- anything similar?

Thanks!

stay in the port....huge kids area with their own pool. Two water slides.

It is free, go back on ship for lunch.

This is the excursion we chose for our visit at Amber Cove: https://www.carnival.com/shore-excursions/amber-cove/mega-truck-adventure-and-beach-break-with-lunch-445019

Not the greatest beach we've ever been to, but we still had a fun day. We got back to the port in time to explore the shops before going back on the ship.

OP, you probably won't need to book an excursion unless you (or your kids) REALLY want to visit a beach at Amber Cove. There is no beach within walking distance of the pier, but as those photos show, there is a very nice pool area and plenty of loungers (literally thousands). Free water-slide and a relatively inexpensive zip-line, too.

Thanks for sharing these pictures! Nice to have a visual on what to expect! We will be visiting this port for the first time soon!

Thank you all! I don't think we need to visit a beach (we live in South FL)- kids would rather do the water slide and try the small zip lining when we first get off. We aren't crazy about driving and being far from the ship so the idea of just walking off and doing what is right there is perfect for us. Thank you!
