canuckcruiselover Posted January 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2018 I read "somewhere" that the slot machines on Harmony only require the sea pass to be tapped and not inserted in a card reader? Does anyone know if this is correct? As the cards can't be punched for a lanyard, tapping would be most helpful especially as I often forget to take the card out of the machine! Life is Good Cruising Posted January 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2018 In the casino on Quantum and on Anthem, I'm able to just tap my Sea-pass card on the reader (whatever it's called) on any of the slot machines to record points. I have not been on Harmony, but I would think it would work the same way as Quantum and Anthem since it's a new ship. Best of luck in the casino :)

maryjaden Posted January 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2018 Yes, I was on Harmony in August. Tap works.
canuckcruiselover Posted January 3, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted January 3, 2018 So, do you have to tap your card again when you stop playing on a machine? And if you don't and the next person doesn't tap their card, are the points added to my card?

Theoretically if someone Sat down they could add to your total, but if you went immediately to another machine without logging out of the last one, the system would automatically log you out when you logged into the new one. Is it true that the SeaPass cards CANNOT be "punched" to hang on a lanyard on the Harmony OTS?? We are leaving on a few weeks and I always "hang" the cards from a clip on a lanyard??? Yikes....may have to go to Plan B ...LOL

My Aunt and her Husband sailed on the Harmony in October. They said they were able to tap one card to both machines they were playing so that one card could earn all the points. They were not logged out of one, when they tapped the other one to log in. I saw this as a benefit, and finally the ability to play a second machine without losing points. Yikes....may have to go to Plan B ...LOL GS probably won't do it for you but if you know where to punch it can still be done. Unlike previous card, the Seapass card on Harmony has electronics in it so that if you punch in the wrong spot you will destroy those and make the card useless. Best get a card sleeve holder for your lanyard.
uncfes Posted January 5, 2018 #10 Share Posted January 5, 2018 Can’t honestly tell you on the ship now but the casino is so smoky we had to leave. Even on a second attempt on a different day we just said no way. And this from someone who is from Vegas and used to it. They really need to do something about it

Best get a card sleeve holder for your lanyard. I’m sitting on board now and two people just passed by me with their card punched. Had to be a crew member do it cause of the chip in it. They have holders for the card. I wouldn’t punch it Sent from my iPhone using Forums
