A couple of Casino Royal Booking Questions

Recommended Posts

A couple of months ago we booked a 5 day Vision Cruise out of Galveston and landed one of the JS aft wraps on deck 8.

This morning we decided to double down and book the 5 day in front of it, especially since we saw the same great cabin was available.

We normally book through a large on line TA who gives us free tips, but we Got much better rates through Casino Royal, but they said the cabin was not available.

They had the aft wrap on the opposite side, so we took it. Back on my usual website, I saw the cabin we just booked was no longer available but the cabin we wanted (the same as the next cruise) was still there. The price difference was substantial enough that it was worth changing cabin, but I’m wondering if we could transfer the booking that still shows the cabin we want to the site we usually use.

Also, we’ll make Diamond during what is now the 1st cruise, but we were told we would not get diamond benefits on the 2nd cruise because it takes two weeks for the points to show up. That doesn’t sound right.

So can we transfer our booking (it’s already after final payment) to get the cabin we want (and maybe TA comped tips to boot)?

Also is there someone we can contact about have Diamond lounge access on the 2nd cruise?

You can transfer a reservation to a TA up to 60 days, even if you book through the casino, but once it's past final payment date or you made the final payment it can no longer be transferred.

I have a friend who booked through the casino and he could not transfer to a travel agent. It sounded like the casino was it's own travel agent.

We are currently booked through Casino Royale in a Jr. Spa Suite on the Anthem of the Seas Feb 17th sailing. The booking was immediately transferred to our travel agent and he has handled everything for us including our cabin upgrade. He goes through the casino for our requests/changes, as a matter of fact because we transferred the booking to him they won't even speak to us. We still got all of the benefits and discounts that the casino gives us and the leisure of having our travel agent handle everything on our behalf.

One note, we cannot get an onboard credit from our TA because of the discount we received from the casino but that is fine, I'll take the over $900 discount over the OBC any day!

Thanks for the update, the policy has obviously changed since my friend made his casino booking.

Thanks all for the responses. Looks like most of what I’ve learned here my be of more benefit for the next time as I’m past final and paid in full on both. If I see the cabin I want is still there tomorrow, I’ll probably call Casino Royal and ask if they see it now (maybe it got put on hold by someone on my TA site and not booked and the TA site was more up to date.).

And of course we will visit the loyalty ambassador.

Happy ending on getting the same cabin. Called Casino Royal back, different rep, didn’t see it either, but she called the revenue department and they saw it and called the TA site I was looking at and got them to release the cabin so they could move us in.

Thanks again.
