travellgirl Posted January 4, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2018 Good morning. We were originally planning to go to Carambola during our port time in St. Kitts. It is closed for a private function. Tried to book the Marriott and they are sold out of passes. Does anyone know if you can just show up at the Marriott and use the beach and maybe just pay for a lounge chair? I believe the beaches are all public, but would like to make sure we are able to rent a chair. We normally do things very far in advance, but only booked this cruise about 10 days ago. Thanks for any information. Sent from my iPad using Forums
paul58 Posted January 4, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2018 The beaches are open to the public but you may have a hard time renting a lounge chair at the Marriott if they are sold out with their day passes. When are your cruising?
travellgirl Posted January 4, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted January 4, 2018 We are leaving February 2. Thanks for your response. That's what I was figuring, that we may not be able to get a lounge chair or use the facilities. We did see another beautiful resort on a cliff. I cannot remember the name, but it doesn't have a beach. We may book it so that we know what we're doing.

jj6961 Posted January 6, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2018 Hi, Did you check directly with Marriott or with an online company that sells day passes? I'm actually there again in a few weeks, I contacted Marriott directly efolioskbrb@marriott.com We were there last month, the beach is very wide and uncrowded. Tons of chairs on the beach set up under little gazebos for sun protection. Some additional info I received: The cost for the day pass would be $35.00 USD per adult and children 12 and under are complimentary with a paying adult. A credit card is required to confirm the Day Passes. The day passes entitles you to: . Use of the facilities including 3 pools and beach . Use of beach cabanas and lounge chairs by the beach and at the pool . 15% discount on treatments at the Emerald Mist Spa . 10% discount on food and beverage at Bohemia Pool & Beach Bar, Calypso Café, Calypso Restaurant, and the Pizza Shack . 10% discount in Pronto Gift Shop Towels are not included Toll free number is 1-866-847-1139 for any reservations. botbien Posted March 20, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 20, 2018 Hello JJ, First, thank you for the details. I appreciate it very much. I tried to email Marriott using the email address you provided above (efolioskbrb@marriott.com) but my email was returned due to invalid email address. Do you happen to have a different email address for them? Perhaps, could you kindly double check the email address that you sent Marriott, please? Thank you very much. Hi, I went thru my emails and found a few you can try, maybe that person isn't there anymore. mhrs.skbrb.reservation.mgr@marriott.com or Janice.Laing@marriott.com I also have a phone number that was toll free: 866-847-1139 Hope one of those works, it's a great day at a great price. This is it, this is all the information you need. I forgot to mention:o I'm almost positive you have to have a credit card, the last two occasions I was there, they didn't take cash for the day pass, and they didnt take cash at the pool bar. I certainly hope that's changed but really they don't take cash??? They used too, but not anymore. Just thought I would mention that. Later Todd Thank you jj6961 for this updated CORRECT information. Appreciate it.;) Edited April 2, 2018 by TTEllis typographical error

familycruising4ever Posted April 6, 2018 #16 Share Posted April 6, 2018 I sent an email to the address that was so kindly given in the post above (mhrs.skbrb.reservation.mgr@marriott.com) and Janice Laing responded within two hours and advised me that the price would be $35 pp and that I could call them directly to confirm that there was space available for the date I required and give them a credit card to hold the reservation if I chose to move forward. Needless to say I did that today and in a matter of 5 minutes I received a confirmation of my reservation and was advised that we had access to all 3 pools as well as cabanas and lounge chairs at the beach and pools, though we need to bring our own towels! When I looked at one of the websites that offer day passes at various resorts they wanted $59 pp for this hotel and it included absolutely nothing in addition to what the Marriott gives you for $35. I believe that means I have extra $$ in the pocket for some nice umbrella drinks :)
sft429 Posted April 6, 2018 #17 Share Posted April 6, 2018 Just got this reply from the St. Kitts Marriott & Royal Beach Casino for reservations during a cruise in Feb, 2019. The cost of the Day Pass is US$35 per person, with up to 1 child under the age of 12 free per adult. The pass gives you access to the following: · Use of the beach, beach chairs and palapas for shade. · Use of the three pools and pool chairs 10% discount on food and beverage at Bohemia, Calypso and Pizza Shack restaurants · 10% discount on purchases at Pronto store in the Lobby · 15% discount on spa treatments of 50-minutes or more at the Emerald Mist Spa, subject to availability Our high season tends to go from January to May, and Day Passes are subject to availability and hotel occupancy. Therefore, they cannot be purchased in advance.
Rare jean87510 Posted April 7, 2018 #18 Share Posted April 7, 2018 Just a suggestion. If you have a party over 5-6 people I think you can still rent a room for the day. We did it in 2016. It was cheaper to do this plus you had a place to shower and let little ones take naps.... we had 6 people and I think it was $149 plus tax. Use the same Marriott email and ask. Sent from my SM-G955U using Forums mobile app We did this, day room at the Marriott back in 2010 this individual is exactly right you have to have 5-6 minimum people go in, we did came to $18 per person(unbelievable deal) for day room which included the day pass. Best ticket in town;), we spent our entire day on the beach or by the pool, went back to the room took shower changed clothes freshened up before heading back to the ship it was great, room was beautiful. This is something to genuinely consider if you have enough people to make it work for everyone, we did and it was great. Todd
Rare jean87510 Posted April 9, 2018 #20 Share Posted April 9, 2018 And, if you had an inside cabin for 8 days with 4 grouchy teenagers, that shower was the best ;) Sent from my SM-G955U using Forums mobile app

Last couple of times I've been back we just didnt have enough people to go in on a room, I missed having a place to leave our stuff and come back and get cleaned up before heading back to the ship, having a day room will spoil you. It's totally worth it. 4 grouchy teenagers, an inside for 8 day's, it would have been difficlt for me to have left the bathroom much less gotten out out of the shower at the Marriott. That was a GREAT shower!!! LOL!!!
