czexrus Posted January 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2018 Norweigien Sky will be at the Nassau port and Im curious if passengers can visit the "pink sand" beach and/or the beach with the wild pigs? Wasn't sure if these 2 attractions were even at Nassau?
mjkacmom Posted January 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2018 Not Nassau, you’d have to fly there.
BNBR Posted January 11, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2018 They do have these excursions in Nassau, but not for cruise passengers. Just to clarify. It's too long of a day trip and you would likely miss the ship.
BrBrCruise Posted January 12, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 12, 2018 Exuma is the island known for the swimming pigs. It's about 130 miles from Nassau, so too far away for an excursion through the ship. I believe you can book a speed boat trip privately. Would take about an hour each way. I wouldn't risk it with the short time Sky usually has in port. Definitely worth a trip on its own, though.

There is a speed boat tour that takes you to the northernmost Exuma islands but not as far south as the swimming pigs. It's still an excellent tour though! We did it once. But even that is a full day trip and I wouldn't do it while on a cruise.

But yeah, no way you would make it on a cruise vacation.
