Rare KeithJenner Posted January 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2018 Where are you disembarking? Self walk off is offered on most cruises, but not in Venice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rare KeithJenner Posted January 13, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2018 Thank you. i am getting off in venice. hoping they offer self assist by then I doubt they will. It’s a port decision. I don’t know for sure, but I suspect it is because in some of the terminals you have to use a lift to get to the luggage hall. If people had bags with them then it would slow everything down too much. I can’t see that changing any time soon.
Rare BirdTravels Posted January 13, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 13, 2018 Thank you. i am getting off in venice. hoping they offer self assist by then Nope. Plan on pulling a color tag and meeting your bags in the terminal.
Rare lepidoptera Posted January 13, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2018 Just checking are you trying to get off early for an early flight? I just looked and it appears you get back in to port the same day we did this year-the day of the Venice marathon. It took a long time to get to Marco Polo from the cruise port due to a lot of roads being closed and the asssociated detours. Disembarkation was a breeze though and very fast. Also the cruise before ours got into port very, very late due to fog shutting down the port. If I ever sail out of Venice again I would stay overnight at the end of our cruise and fly out the next day.
tomberly Posted January 14, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 14, 2018 Going on a Medi cruise 10/20/2018 on NCL Star. Do they offer self-assist debarkation? It was a “No” on our September cruise on the Star in Venice.
flip8683 Posted February 14, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Lepidoptera ,Thank you for the info about the Venice Marathon. I was able to change our flight to Monday instead of Sunday. I felt an 11:55 am flight might be pushing it. We are on the Oct 21 to Oct 28th2018 cruise
TriMomma Posted February 24, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 24, 2018 Or take a water taxi to the airport and avoid the marathon.
