teehuge Posted January 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2018 Hi! We will be sailing in the fall and joining the cruise at Warnemunde. Most passengers embark in Copenhagen. The ship leaves at 10pm. My question is about Muster drill. Does everyone already on board have to do it again? Is there a specific time for embarkation? We are soooo excited - this is only our second cruise.
CruiserBruce Posted January 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2018 The most likely situation will be that those who board in Warnemunde will be directed to appear at a certain time for drill. You will find out when you board. The drill will definitely be before you sail. The option of doing drills after sailing ended with Costa Concordia. I seriously doubt those that have been on since Copenhagen will have to attend.
Rare KeithJenner Posted January 16, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 16, 2018 Whilst the sailings from Warnemunde are relatively new for NCL, there has been a very similar situation on the Epic for many years now with embarkation in Barcelona for most and Rome for some. The procedure will almost certainly be the same. The people who board at the secondary port will attend a muster drill just for them before the ship leaves. It will probably be in a venue like the theatre and will be very low key. The rest of the ship will be unaware it is happening. On the other hand, whilst you won’t have to attend the main muster in Copenhagen, you will certainly be aware it is happening, as the entire ship will close down for the duration. Make sure you know when that one is and either be onshore or make yourself comfortable and get any drinks etc you may want. Chocolate Teapot Posted January 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2018 I was on Getaway last year, and there was a "Catch-Up Muster Drill" for passengers embarking at Warnemunde, so I suspect it will be the same on Breakaway.
