Academy Awards

I was wondering if they would possibly air the Academy Awards. I am thinking they won't as I know it airs on ABC and that channel is not on the ship. If anyone has any knowledge that it was broadcast last year I would be curious to know. Thanks in advance.

7 years ago or so, they did not show it. There were some people on these boards saying that they will, once we boarded I found out that they would not be showing them.

 

Personally I feel like it's a missed opportunity by them. It's just like showing the Super Bowl or other NFL Playoff games.

That would be fun to be out on deck watching the awards, grabbing a drink during commercials, making a buffet run if goes long.

 

My son watched some playoff basketball games by the pool and had lots of company with others on loungers. Seems like a fun thing if they were able to get it.

Yeah I plan on doing the DVR, just was curious. I also watch Nascar and will have that DVR'd as well. Just hope nobody spoils my fun and tells me who won the race!!
