Sail and Sign card question

Me and my wife are taking out first cruise on the Elation in March, first of many with three currently booked and eyeing a fourth. My question is concerning the S&S cards. My wife is wanting to order lanyards with a plastic sleeve to put them To me this will get old getting the card out for drinks, access to the room and the other needs for the cards. Can we have a hole punched in them and just attach a lanyard to it?

yes, this is very common. guest services can punch a hole for you

Mine have always come with a hole punched in them. I wouldn’t get the plastic holder just to keep the card in. Some people put money in them...or pizza.

You can also go to the casino and get a free lanyard. They even punched the hole for us.

I have a lanyard for work, that has a back pocket for cash, which is great when I want to go get coffee or lunch. But when I am on a cruise, I use a "cruise" lanyard with the fleur de lis that I got in the port in NOLA. I would ask your spouse to wait, if she wants something with bling, they have them on the ship. Since you don't have to carry cash, having one like that is silly. But l love my bling when cruising. :D

oh, and the reason I wear a lanyard, ? I know where my key is at all times. ;) and my dresses don't have pockets, and I wont carry a purse on board.

They have been prepunched the past year or 2. I like the lanyards with the small detachable part at the end. Makes it easier to use for purchases.
