Another early flight home question!

We are disembarking in Stockholm, scheduled at 8am at FRIHAMNEN on a Friday this summer.

 

If our flight is 12:25 pm, would that be enought time to get to the airport?

The cruise is recommending a 1pm or later flight.

It's the only flight out for us for that day, so ideally we would like to do it. We would probably hire a taxi.

 

I guess I also wonder how often cruise ships arrive at their destination *later* than scheduled? Is it common to arrive after the scheduled time? WE are coming from Mariehamn, which looks close, at least on the map!

4,5 hour margin is very risky imo especially if your flight is the only one that day.

Stockholm arrival with cruise ship is also a bit more weather sensitive than other ports. Too strong winds or fog can delay the ship several hours.

 

Even with good weather conditions 4,5 hours is very tight.

What ship are you sailing? The larger ones might be diverted into nynashamn if sea conditions are unfavorable. (Smaller ones too but this is less likely)

A smaller ship, the Silver Spirit.

You may want to also post this on the Silversea board to see what the experience of others have been.

 

There can be some risk with this.

 

Another option is to fly back the next day.
