Jzx1103 Posted February 4, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2018 My wife and I are looking for something to do the evening before our cruise. We booked an Air B&B at the heart of Old San Juan and will probably arrive at our Air B&B approx 530pm I'm Feb 24th. We will then probably have dinner and looking for some evening activities since we can stay up late not sleep in a little the following morning. Anyone have any good recommendation for restaurants in OSJ? As well as activities afterwards? The activities don' have to be in OSJ, can be anywhere reasonable and safe that can be reached by taxi or uber. Thanks!
waverley7 Posted February 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2018 Hi JZX In my research for restaurants I have found the best to be Barrachino's. (As recommended by others, not myself yet) I also read that a must try is their Pina Colada's. In case you need it upon your return, they will also store luggage for you so you can walk around without it before your flight. We also have a B&B and there is a place called El Jibarito's close to our house which is suppose to be very good. Night life, we have been twice and just enjoy wandering around and having drinks in different spots. The Casino is right there as well! Enjoy! If you haven't been, it's beautiful! Hope you have time to walk around the old wall , it's a beautiful walk.

I have read this too (about the piña colada being invented there), but then I saw a show on CNN called United Shades of America, and they highlighted Puerto Rico (before the hurricanes). They went to the Caribe Hilton and the bartender made one and claimed they invented it. Hmmmm. It was a good show, interesting cultural info about Puerto Rico. I’d encourage people to watch it before they visit. It’s probably “On Demand” on cable. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
