Anthem of the Seas decks question

We will be on Anthem for the first time next month. I noticed when looking at the deck plans that the stateroom numbers don't match the deck number. For instance our stateroom, 10534, is on deck 11 and not deck 10 like I would expect. We sailed numerous times on Voyager, Freedom and Oasis Class ships and I don't recall this ever being the case. I also checked her two sisters and don't see this being the case on them.

 

I figured someone on CC would have an answer for me as to why this is or would tell me I'm crazy and looking at the deck plans incorrectly (which to be honest, I really thought was case but everytime I recheck it I get the same answer).

 

So CC friends I'm ready, give me the real reason and I'm sure someone will give a truly imaginative one. ;)

I am glad you asked this question... I had noticed it to and it baffled me. I just assumed some cruise ship designer had had a little too much to drink the night before they submitted the final plans. :eek::eek:
