stacystacy Posted February 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2018 Has anyone ever bid, cancelled it and upgraded their cabin (on their own) and then received a second bid offer email afterward with new offerings for the higher categories? Does that happen? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Tinyturtle22 Posted February 6, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2018 Yes. Even if you call and get upgraded because of a price drop you should get a new upgrade opportunity. You might not get a new email but the options should change on your online account upgrade link.

I’m probably naively hopeful for nothing but really would love to bid on a higher category! Sent from my iPhone using Forums

I called up and bought a higher priced room than what I had initially booked, but my original upgrade email never adjusted. It still shows me the chance to bid on the room that I bought outright

Njkrewzer Posted February 6, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 6, 2018 Don’t use the old email. Go to your reservation on NCLs website and look for the “lefts get you upgraded” link. I tried that as well, same thing. It still shows me the room that I purchased. At first I thought maybe it just takes some time to update, but its been a couple weeks now

drumming cruisers Posted February 6, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 6, 2018 Who gets e-mails? I only see upgrade offers on my NCL reservations. What is the upsell phone number everyone talks about? I am cancelling upgrades bids since stock market is crashing
Njkrewzer Posted February 6, 2018 #10 Share Posted February 6, 2018 If you are in a suite it’s not going to change. Yes, both my original room and the new one are suites. It doesn't matter to me that it didn't change, but since the OP mentioned it I figured i'd chime in.
Rare BirdTravels Posted February 6, 2018 #11 Share Posted February 6, 2018 We have paid the price of an upgrade from a mini-suite to a Havens when we saw that our "poor" bid would be more than the cost of buying the room outright,,,, and getting all of the promos in the process. It took several days before the online bidding was updated with our new "paid" cabin and the cost to upgrade to higher cabins.
jdvmd Posted February 7, 2018 #12 Share Posted February 7, 2018 We upgraded our cabin from an inside to balcony on our own and it took a few days to get the bidding page to change. We opted not to bid as we were very happy with the location of our three guaranteed cabins.
