OSUcruiser Posted February 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2018 I know she is older, but any suggestions for this short cruise? We are in a 4th floor guarantee ocean view. Hoping we make it into HMC. Been to Nassau too many times. Might stay on ship. Thanks!
DAllenTCY Posted February 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2018 What exactly is your question? That might help with an informed reply. I've been to Nassau 6 times and I've always found something new and interesting to do. David P.S. I fount the NCL Sky to be in excellent shape 8 months ago. Motegi Posted February 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2018 Pam and I really enjoy the Sky. We like the enthusiasm of the cruise staff and the selection of daily activities. While the ship is neither the newest nor the largest, it is comfortable and easy to navigate. And while we no longer feel the need to go to Atlantis when we go to Nassau we still find plenty to do to fill our day. We are set to sail on Sky again later this month. OSUcruiser Posted February 10, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted February 10, 2018 Well with it being such a short cruise, just didn't want to miss any ship features. Somtimes you dont find things on the ship until a few days in. Also never have been to HMC, so any suggestions for there would be great. Its just a getaway... want to make the most of it! Motegi Posted February 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 10, 2018 So are you going on the Mon-Friday itinerary with Freeport, Nassau, and Great Stirrup Cay? Or the shorter Fri-Mon weekend cruise with Nassau and GSC? The ship has two MDRs, a Garden Cafe buffet with outdoor seating, Il Adagio upcharge resraurant, Caneys Steakhouse upcharge restaurant, Stardust theater, Dazzles lounge, Outrigger bar, Plantation bar, Longboards bar, Captain Cooks piano lounge, a Columbian Emeralds shop, a Duty Free shop, coffee bar, casino, golf driving range, basketball court, pools, spa, etc. There is plenty of live music throughout the evening. We like to avoid the main buffet lines and go straight back to the Great Outdoor Cafe in the morning to grab breakfast. Nice covered outdoor seating and two much less crowded buffet lines with a full service bar in between. This is also a nice place to pick up a late evening snack after the shows end in the main theater. Oftentimes you’ll see the performers back there grabbing a snack as well. cheaperts Posted February 10, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 10, 2018 agree with above, great outdoors for breakfast is awesome, Sky is a great little ship, and free booze!
OSUcruiser Posted February 10, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted February 10, 2018 We are on shorter weekend cruise. I did list the incorrect cay. GSC and Nassau. We will definitely look for the outdoor buffet area!
victory2020 Posted February 10, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 10, 2018 Also sit down breakfast in the main dining room complete with Bloody Marys!
Motegi Posted February 11, 2018 #10 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Also sit down breakfast in the main dining room complete with Bloody Marys! Good to know! We might try that on GSC day next week! We usually get mimosas at the Great Oudoor Bar at breakfast.

kathiewe Posted February 14, 2018 #13 Share Posted February 14, 2018 We love the Sky. Here are a few things we do.. 1) We book the 3 night upgraded dining package. The food is much better than the MDRs. 2) We eat breakfast on the Great Outdoor Cafe...so peaceful. 3) We go to Great Stirrup Cay early before it gets crazy busy. 4) We go to Pineapples for music and sushi
