brunolvr Posted February 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2018 Our booking pkg includes 250 minutes of internet and we have 60 minutes because we are Platinum Plus -- do you think we would be able to upgrade to unlimited without paying the full fee? Has anyone been able to do that?
Aturnee Posted February 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2018 Just did this on the Dawn I had 2 250 packages (500 minutes)and had to pay $90 to get unlimited for 10 days of 11 day cruise. I used my platinum plus minutes the first day. So far the internet works very well inside the ship not so well on balcony. Rare mking8288 Posted February 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2018 On the Breakaway & Gem, the option is in writing but you need to do this no later than Day 2. We have 250 free promo + 60 platinum minutes, cost to upgrade from 250/1GB data was $89 for 7 days, good use of nonrefundable OBC. Here's a little extra tips, handy guides at the iCafe. Rare BirdTravels Posted February 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 10, 2018 Check the freestyle daily and go to the Internet cafe during the hours the manager is there. They can help you with the credit toward unlimited.

perditax Posted February 11, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Has anyone done this recently on Escape? For some reason I thought it wasn't allowed.
CruisingNole Posted February 11, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 11, 2018 NCL needs to take a page from RC (and the rest of the modern world) and do one option - unlimited. Last year 7 night on Oasis I paid $100. I thought metered internet died 10+ years ago.

Unless something has changed in the last year or so since I've discussed this, RCI has access to more satellite bandwidth than NCL, and that's a finite resource until more satellites are launched and brought online. It's not a fair comparison.
